Re Frame Darrell Delaney Director Appointment 3

With great joy, we announce the appointment of Rev. Darrell Delaney as our next director of ReFrame Ministries following the retirement of Rev. Kurt Selles.

Rev. Delaney steps into this leadership role with an exceptional background in pastoral care and organizational development. Formerly an adjunct professor of Pastoral Care and Counseling at Calvin Theological Seminary and the founder of Strategic Design Consultants, he has dedicated his career to equipping leaders with the spiritual and practical foundations necessary for healthy, mission-aligned ministry.

Rev. Darrell Delaney - ReFrame Director

Rev. Delaney’s background in trauma-informed care brings a unique depth to his role, providing support to our international ministry leaders who serve in highly persecuted areas. His ministry expertise will be a necessary lifeline to help our teams as they bring hope, provide biblical resources, and stand alongside believers in the world's most challenging environments. This focus on spiritual formation and relationship building does more than support our leaders in persecuted areas; it provides the foundation and keeps ReFrame centered in the gospel as the ministry continues to scale its global digital reach.

While many in the ReFrame community already know Rev. Delaney as a familiar voice through his work as co-host of the Groundwork podcast and his reflections in the Today daily devotional, this appointment marks his transition into the primary leadership seat for our global ministry.

“My prayer is to listen well, learn deeply, and lead faithfully,” shared Rev. Delaney. “I want to honor the strong foundation already built while helping ReFrame continue to serve churches, communities, and people around the world with creativity, theological depth, and spiritual care.”

Rev. Delaney’s path to the Director’s office is rooted in over a decade of hands-on ministry, including his tenure as a campus pastor at Madison Square Christian Reformed Church (Square Campus) and his impactful work in jail chaplaincy. These roles have shaped his commitment to helping people return to their true identity in Jesus Christ.

His background in relationship building and leadership dynamics will keep ReFrame anchored in the gospel as the ministry continues to scale its digital reach.

This appointment comes as Rev. Kurt Selles prepares for his retirement at the end of June. The arrival of Rev. Delaney provides a thoughtful succession, allowing the ministry to maintain its momentum while exploring new avenues for global impact and media innovation.

He is a person of deep faith and strategic vision. I am confident that the ministry will flourish under his leadership, and I look forward to seeing the new ways we will connect with people globally.”

“It is a pleasure to see Darrell take on this responsibility,” reflected Rev. Selles. “He is a person of deep faith and strategic vision. I am confident that the ministry will flourish under his leadership, and I look forward to seeing the new ways we will connect with people globally.”
