VBS Students Share the Risen Lord

Hi Osm 2018 03 Vbs Fb

Ranchi, India is located in the northeastern corner of the country, where little is known or told about our Risen Lord. A place where, “the time is ripe to present the good news, even though it may invite harassment,” states Hindi ministry leader for ReFrame Ministries.

This spring, Christian leaders will come together in Ranchi to prepare and learn how to spread the Gospel and share the resurrection story with children at the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) camp. “Young people are hungry for truth,” explains our ministry leader.

Because the Gospel is not widely shared, parents in outlying villages rely on VBS for their children to hear and share what they’ve learned. One mother writes, “We live in Odisha and wait every year for VBS classes so that our son can go to Ranchi to attend and learn the teachings of the Bible. We send him there thinking that whatever he learns about God, we can teach the same to the children here in Odisha.”

Charles is one of the 1,500 children who attended the Hindi VBS program last year. Charles came not knowing who Jesus was. As he learned more about the Bible, he talked with his parents about coming to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Because Charles was able to share the Good News with his family, they too came to accept Christ. They were baptized as a family, and this Easter will be the first they celebrate our Risen Lord!

As we focus our minds and hearts on the indescribable gift we were given through Jesus Christ’s dying for our sins, remember those who do not yet know this Good News. Pray that God will prepare hearts and provide the means for the VBS leaders to boldly share the Gospel.
