April 27, 2015 • Chinese

ReFrame Ministries (BTGMI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jerry An to the position of Chinese ministry team leader.  Kurt Selles, Director of ReFrame Ministries affirms, "We are so grateful that God has led Jerry An, who is so gifted and passionate about God's kingdom, to serve as the leader of our Chinese media ministry."

Mr. An came to BTGMI in 2013 to serve as Chinese ministry program director. An stated, “Naturally, Back to God Ministries and I crossed paths because we share the same urgent vision for media ministry. God has a special plan for every individual and the plan echoes the growth of each person’s life.”

As program director, An played a vital role in building partnerships with nearly 60 media organizations throughout North America and China. This has been crucial in the development and implementation of the new Chinese mobile application, Be Thou My Rhythm.

In his new role as Chinese ministry team leader, Mr. An will continue to strengthen relationships for Be Thou My Rhythm, as well as supervise production of the Today mobile app, the website ministry, and social media platforms. He recognizes the many challenges the Chinese team faces spreading the Gospel in China, but is anxious and prepared to face them as opportunities. Moving forward, An states, “We pray that we can become a team that is always learning, always growing, and always striving for excellence.”

Originally from Hebei, China, Jerry moved to the United States in 1998. In 2004 he received his MBA from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California, and is working towards his MDiv from Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, MI. Prior to joining BTGMI, An worked with FEBC (Far East Broadcasting Company) in China and California.

Having passed his classical examination as a commissioned pastor in the CRCNA, Jerry An was called by Orland Park CRC to serve with Back To God Ministries International. He will succeed Rev. Jimmy Lin who served as Chinese ministry team leader for nearly 25 years. Jerry plans to begin in his new position July 1, 2015, working out of the BTGMI headquarters in Palos Heights, IL. Please pray for our Chinese ministry and Jerry during this exciting time of transition.
